Verification & AI Consent Policy

Verification services are always optional. Nothing runs without your explicit, per-type consent — recorded with a timestamp and the verbatim authorization text you agreed to.

Simonara operates Simonara Verify™ — our verification brand. We work with reputable verification partners to complete each check; the specific partner may change over time, but your consent is always to Simonara Talent Solutions and its authorized verification partners.

You can grant consent independently for each of:

• Identity — government-issued ID + selfie match.
• Employment — past employer confirmation of role and dates.
• Education — degree, institution, dates of attendance.
• Professional Licenses — where applicable.
• References — structured reference checks with 2–3 contacts.

Before any check is initiated, you will be asked to tick a checkbox with the following exact wording:

Where the check involves sharing results with an employer, a second checkbox is presented:

Verification results appear as per-type tiles on your Talent Passport™ (Verified / Pending / Not requested). Employers see only the tile — they do not see the underlying PII you provided. If you revoke consent for a category, the corresponding tile reverts to “Not requested” and no further checks will run.

Verification does not guarantee employment or suitability.

Background checks are a future feature. When we enable them, we will:

• Show a completely separate consent form specific to background checks.
• Never initiate a background check without the candidate's explicit consent.
• Require employers requesting background checks to certify compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws (including the FCRA in the US).

When you create a Talent Passport, you consent to Simonara using your Passport information for the following AI features:

• AI Job Matching & AI Match™ scores
• AI Hiring Brief™ generation
• AI Resume Optimizer
• AI Cover Letter Generator
• AI Interview Coach
• AI Career Coach and Salary Insights

All AI features are advisory only. Final employment decisions remain the responsibility of employers and candidates. We do not authorize our AI providers to train foundational models on your data.

• Sensitive PII collected for verification (SSN, DOB, document numbers) is encrypted at rest with AES/Fernet.
• List views and admin dashboards expose only masked previews (last-4 SSN, year-only DOB, etc.).
• Any plaintext reveal by an admin requires a written business justification and is written to the immutable audit log.
• Our operations team monitors sensitive events via a Compliance Console designed for SOC 2 auditors.

Verification purchases become non-refundable once processing begins with the verification partner, because the partner immediately incurs cost. If processing has not started, Simonara may issue a refund at its discretion. See the Refund Policy for full details.

• Manage per-type consents from your Simonara Verify™ page.
• Revoke a category at any time — future checks will require fresh consent.
• Delete your account and Simonara will remove your Passport and associated verification records within 30 days, except where retention is required for compliance.
